After watching Paranormal Activity I decided to place a camera in my house to try and document some of the claims my wife had been making about our house being haunted.

After just one night this is what I captured. Not being able to explain any of the events that took place that night I am convinced that our house is indeed haunted.

This is an attempt by me to duplicate some of the effects in Paranormal Activity. All of the shots were composed in Adobe After Effects. Please tell me what you think.

• All shots (except the very first between me and Jess) were done around 11:30 in the morning!
• The door was opened and closed using fishing line with me transiting between rooms edited out
• The shadow was created with an overlay of me walking across the hallway with the opacity turned down and darkness turned up using masking in After Effects
• The night vision was added with layers and effects in After Effects
• All sounds (scream, boom, footsteps,ect) were compiled using  the Audacity sound program

Hope you liked it, just trying to show how easy it is to pull off a little ‘haunting’ of your own. I will be creating a video tutorial on how to achieve the ‘Paranormal Activity’ night cam shot, so stay tuned for that.

The ME rating was designed to meet the Coast Guard’s need for a cadre of professionals primarily focused on and experienced in Law Enforcement and Security duties. Members of the ME rating can expect assignment to challenging duties including traditional maritime law enforcement, anti-terrorism force protection, port security and safety, as well as providing expert training in these
fields at the unit level and at training centers. These missions will also continue to be carried out as collateral duties for those in other ratings.

This is our first documentary, which chronicles our trip to Washington and what we ran into for the week we were out there.

My daughter left a toy robot of Wall-E on my desk yesterday and it gave me the inspiration to make one of my own. I’ve named him Digg.R (pronounced digger), a dirt digging robot.

This is a rough render I did to work out the motions and what not. I used Cinema 4d with the Sketch and Toon plug-in. (I really love that app).

Hopefully if time permits I will tweak it and add more realism like the real Wall-E. As always, I’ll keep you posted.

Here is another video I have created of a UFO. It is the same model I used in the Jupiter Lighthouse UFO with the exception of the lights on it. And unlike the Jupiter UFO, the whole scene was done in Cinema 4d. The trees, the houses and the environment. All the post effects (camera blur, zoom and fade) were done in After Effects.

I got the actual guys talking from another UFO video on YouTube. I then mixed the vocals with the craft sounds, the dogs and the sirens in Audacity.

I am hoping to come out with a tutorial at some point on how I achieved each effect. I am also going to start on another UFO video that will hopefully blow these last two out of the water. You only get better with practice. I guess that’s it, oh and if your wondering what gave me the idea for all of this check out ManBird12000. His videos are great and he is the one who started the Haiti UFO video craze. I would love to have done something like that but everyone is pretty well informed with what a little talent and the right programs can deliver.

I created this video using film from my back yard looking at the Jupiter Lighthouse (behind the trees). This is the first video of its kind that I have created and wanted to see how hard it could be after seeing the Haiti UFO footage.

The UFO was created and textured in Cinema 4d v. 9. Video and Post Effects were done using Adobe After Effects.
